Kowhaiwhai Art
I have chosen these because I thought they were similar. My mum is the koru because she has set up herself, her life and surroundings. My dad is a hammerhead because he is strong. He works in the yard and lifts some really heavy stuff. My brother is also the hammerhead because he loves lifting heavy things in the yard and loves working in the yard. i am agility because I am quick at dodging and I'm fast at running.

Kowhaiwhai by James
My Kowhaiwhai represents my family and its strengths. My Dad is the hammerhead which represents strength, courage and power,He is coloured with green which represents safety and strength. My Mum is the flounder and it is a symbol of welcoming and hospitality,She is coloured with blue and symbolises trust and loyalty. And finally my brothers and I are all korus and it represents the unfolding of life. We are covered with purple representing nostalgic feelings to my parents when we were born.
