My kowhaiwhai.
In my
kowwhaiwhai I have Me my Mother, Father and my older Brother and Sister.
For my father
I have the mangopare also known as the hammer head, the hammer head represents
the hammerhead shark. And is about strength, courage and power. And that is
what I see in my Dad. It is also in the colour blue which stands for faith and
truth.
For my
Mum I chose the Patiki, it represents the flounder. It is a symbol of welcome
and hospitality. It s in the colour red which means energy, strength and power.
For my older
Brother I have a koru the koru is based on the curled- up young fern frond. As
such it represents birth and the unfolding of life. And it is in the colour
green which represents growth and harmony.
For my
older Sister I have a koru as well in the colour light blue which represents
heath, understanding and softness.
And I
did me as a koru in the colour purple which represents creativity. Mystery and
magic.
