My kowhaiwhai, family tree.

The hammerhead shark is my dad because he is strong and courageous. I painted him green because of his love of nature.

The two koru’s are me and my sister because we are young.  I painted us yellow because we are happy and bright like the sun.

My mother is the flounder because of her kindness and hospitality. I painted her blue because of her depth and she is not only what meets the eye.
